Bright Spring Florals

Outfit Details: Adrianna Papell Flowing Floral Top (c/o), Madewell Skinny Jeans, Aldo Shoes (exact same Steve Madden pair here), Miu Miu Sunglasses via Ditto, Aaraa Accessories Necklace

Spring has finally arrived, as if you needed another excuse to bust out bright florals! I personally started wearing white jeans and florals back in March. I couldn't help myself and there were a few days when the temperature hit 50 degrees. I took any chance I could get to brighten up my wardrobe. One of the trendiest colors for this spring just so happens to be coral, which is a favorite color tone of mine for the warmer season. I tend to incorporate corals into my outfit through accessories or delicate prints. I am not one to dress head-to-toe in coral. Unless it's a fun fit-and-flare dress.

I mixed this floral top from Adrianna Papell with white denim and strappy sandals. These particular sandals will become a staple in my wardrobe this spring. I love the chunky heel and minimalist ankle strap. They can be worn with just about anything!

What new pieces are you adding to your wardrobe this spring?

Styling The T-Shirt Dress

Outfit Details: Pink Slate Boutique Tee Shirt Dress (c/o), Steve Madden Sandals, Macy's Backstage Melie Bianco Bag (c/o), Madewell Bandana, Ray Ban Aviators

I'm a big fan of t-shirt dresses. They are relaxed in a casual-chic way, and most importantly they deliver on comfort. You can dress them up for a date night or down for the weekend with a pair of white sneakers. They're my favorite thing to pack while traveling during the summer months because of their versatility. In my opinion, they are a true wardrobe staple piece. This particular t-shirt dress from Pink Slate Boutique features a high-low hemline which adds a bit of interest to the overall silhouette. You can snatch this dress for under $40, and don't forget to use my discount code for an additional 20% off (code dressedbyjess at checkout).

It's finally warming up here in NYC which has me so excited to start wearing sandals, pastel colors, and maxi dresses and skirts. I've been slowly updating my accessories for spring as well, and my Melie Bianco crossbody mini from Macy's Backstage is one of my favorite new pieces (offered at a truly affordable cost). Macy's Backstage is a cross between a department store and an outlet. They offer fresh merchandise from trending brands and new labels - all at 20 to 80% off original prices. You can visit their site to find a store closest to you. If you do happen to make a visit and find some goodies, don't forget to enter their giveaway for a chance to win a $100 gift card. Simply tag your latest Backstage find with #MacysBackstage and #sweepstakes on Instagram or Twitter to be entered.

Happy shopping!

Slate Grey Jumpsuit

The one-piece wonder of your wardrobe? A jumpsuit, of course. I'm a huge fan of jumpsuits in the warmer seasons because they are so easy to style and truly require minimal thought when heading out the door. For this look, I simply layered a light moto jacket on top with a sleek chain necklace from Pink Slate Boutique and gold loafers from Karl Lagerfeld. These shoes are so comfortable. I actually bought them to commute to and from NYC. I broke them in last weekend and have been wearing them ever since!

I have quite the affinity for neutral tones lately so naturally, I grabbed this jumpsuit the moment it hit Pink Slate Boutique's new arrivals. This particular jumper is available for $49 but if you use code "dressedbyjess" at check out you will receive 20% off your purchase. Happy shopping!

Aisle Style: Your Dress, Your Way

Before the "here comes the bride" moment comes endless amounts of coordinating, finalizing contracts, and (my favorite part) dress fittings! It's such an exciting time, even if it's stressful. I have to admit, the dress shopping process for me was a little bumpy and one of the biggest challenges I faced was deciding on a style. There are way too many to choose from. I know that some of you may have had a similar experience, or perhaps you just got engaged and feel overwhelmed by the thought of dress shopping. This is why I wanted to share my personal story with you. I am back on Style Me Pretty today bringing you inside my journey to finding my dream dress. Grab your cup of coffee, because it's a long one!

It's an absolute treat to be able to take you inside my very first fitting with Mark Zunino. Although we are in the beginning stages, I thought it would be fun to take you along with me. This is the corset, or in other words the foundation of my dress. Mark likes to ensure the core fits exactly to each bride's body before he begins producing the rest of the dress. I spent about 30 minutes with Mark discussing my vision and prancing around in my little corset/slip with a sticky note pinned to the front labeled, Jessica Galfo. I've never felt more like a bride then in that very moment. I cannot imagine how I will feel on my wedding day, but for now I'm going to cherish these last fleeting moments leading up to our big day!

Are you recently engaged and ready to start the dress hunt? I'm talking about 5 must-read gown shopping tips every bride should know before stepping foot in a bridal salon in today's article on Style Me Pretty, so make sure you head over to check it out!
