Striped Knit Blazer

Outfit Details: Anthropologie Striped Knit Blazer, Madewell Turtleneck Sweater (similar) and High Riser Skinny Jeans, BP Trolley Ankle Bootie, Zara (similar) Small Handbag

Monday we meet again. This weekend flew by, didn't it? I was super busy with family events back home. I really feel like I blinked and I'm right back at the Monday-Friday routine again, le sigh. On the bright side, I managed to clean out a part of my closet. I'm trying so hard to organize my tiny space and rejuvenate my wardrobe. It's no small task! It also doesn't help that I continue to shop for new pieces without properly organizing first (whoops). I recently picked up this striped knit blazer from Anthropologie and I've been wearing it on the reg. I love that it has a slightly oversized fit. This blazer in particular pairs so well with super skinny jeans.

In my opinion, every gal needs a handful of power blazers in her closet- aka blazers that can be dressed up for important meetings or dressed down for drinks with friends. If you're like me and frequently reach for neutrals, then you will love the blazers I recently added to my favorites list below.

Happy shopping and enjoy your week!

Yellow Corduroy Dress

Outfit Details: Anthropologie Tied Corduroy Dress, JCrew Button Down Blouse (similar here), Madewell Ring (love this stack)

Happy Thursday! We are in the home stretch to the weekend and I cannot wait to just kick my feet up on Friday night and relax. I started putting away most of my heavy winter pieces this week and bringing forward spring transitional outfits- like this Corduroy Dress. How adorable does this dress look when simply layered over a classic white button down? I'm always attracted to dresses with unique textures and details. The stretch cotton corduroy material combined with the front tie feels so earthy and rustic. I love that cords can give even the newest of pieces a vintage feel.

Sleeveless dresses always prove to be life savers in these strange, trans-seasonal times. For now, you can style this dress with tights, a button down blouse, and ankle booties. Later you can ditch all the layers for strappy sandals and a pair of big round sunnies. Don't be afraid to give this throwback texture a try!

Aisle Style: Wedding Planning Tips

Photography by Love & Light Photographs

We are 4 short months away from our big day and I couldn't be more excited. Everything is starting to feel so real and we have checked a lot off our to-do list. There is still a ton of planning to be done, but I finally feel like I can breathe again after months of researching vendors, negotiating contracts, and driving across New Jersey for meetings. Now it's down to the nitty gritty...the design process and I must admit, this part has been the most fun. There are a ton of details that go into a wedding day from the rentals to the flowers, invitations, place settings, signage, invitations...the list goes on. I have been working closely with Paige of Gilded Lily Events, my wedding designer/current right side of my brain, to narrow down my vision and bring all the ideas to life. She is extremely sweet and the moment I met her early last August, I knew we would be a fit working together.

Paige continues to inspire me with her creativity and she has offered invaluable advice and wedding tips over the past few months. Since we are currently designing my invitations with Victoria of Design House of Moira, I thought it would be fun to give you a peek inside the process. On that note, head over to Style Me Pretty today for more details on my wedding design and a ton of juicy tips from Paige herself!

Location: Gilded Lily Events Office- isn't it so adorable?!

Flared Sleeve Top

Outfit Details: Adrianna Papell Draped Wide Sleeve Top & Skinny Pant With Pin Tucks, & Pointy Toe Pump (c/o), Ray Ban Aviators, Zara Bag (similar Small Shoulder Bag)

Black and white has always been one of my favorite combinations. It's clean and modern - which is why I tend to reach for trendy pieces in black and white tones. Take this flared sleeve top from Adrianna Papell for example, it's dramatic and elegant, yet the color doesn't overcomplicate the look. I happen to be a huge fan of bell sleeve tops for the upcoming spring season. It's the perfect statement-making style and will instantly add edge to any outfit. I love this top in particular because the flare is subtle and can be worn from desk to cocktails. Don't get me wrong I enjoy voluminous sleeves, but sometimes they are not always practical.

Between work and wedding planning I have been completely exhausted lately, but I will be sharing a few updates very soon so stay tuned! Please forgive me in advance if I need to take a mini blog break from time to time as we approach our big day, which is now just about 4 months away...eeekkk!!!

Cargo Jacket + Floral Print

I've been shopping for spring transition pieces and naturally selecting florals...go figure. In my personal opinion, it might be a tad too soon to go full floral. Let's give it a few more weeks people! I added this army green cargo jacket on top to tone down the look. Much like a leather or wool jacket, a cargo jacket can be a very versatile piece. You can layer the look with faux fur, a down vest, or even with a light sweater when the temps start to warm up (hopefully sometime soon).

I also love that these jackets exude a downtown vibe. It feels casual-chic and makes for the perfect outfit heading into the weekend. You can find cargo jackets in just about any retailer, but my personal favorites come from JCrew, Madewell, Gap, or Maison Jules.

Side note, how fun are these stacked marble bracelets from Aaraa Accessories? I picked them up last week before heading to a fashion show for NYFWM (Men's Fashion Week). They are super easy to layer with other jewelry pieces and I've been wearing them on the regular with my Kate Spade watch!
