A Sparklin' New Year

New Year's Eve is the one time that you have every excuse to sparkle and shine. In fact, when it comes to sequins on this very evening...more is more! Some people will beg to disagree with me, but I happen to think the glitz and glam is part of the New Year's magic. It just feels right. If sequins aren't your thing then you can pile on the sparkle with accessories (chunky or delicate). I do recommend staying true to your style. There's no need to dress up in a bedazzled outfit if you hate all things that glitter.

This season I'm in the mood for a curve-skimming, sparkling dress and this Adrianna Papell cap sleeve mini perfectly fits the bill. Whether you're planning a fancy night out or keeping it simple and hanging at home, you should embrace the opportunity to dress up. If you really want to step outside your comfort zone, try mixing things up with a jumpsuit- this velvet trim jumpsuit from topshop would make a killer NYE outfit, just saying ;). Scroll through the below for more New Year's eve party-ready outfits and don't forget to visit Adrianna Papell online to shop their full collection of beaded dresses.

p.s. I'll be taking some time off from the blog next week to be with my family and friends. I wish you a very happy, healthy, and relaxing holiday!

Aisle Style: Starting New Traditions

Outfit Details: Anthropologie Laced Funnelneck Pullover, Pink Slate Boutique Blanket Scarf (c/o), Madewell Jeans, BP Trolley Ankle Booties. On Rob: H&M Sweater, Express Jeans, Steve Madden Shoes

I'm back on Style Me Pretty today talking about starting new holiday traditions as an engaged couple. I've been not-so-patiently waiting to share these photos from our mini Christmas shoot. Rob and I took a trip down to a local farm near his hometown to capture some Mistletoe moments with the fabulous Jessa of Love & Light Photographs in hopes to inspire you to 1- get cute and cozy this holiday season and 2- celebrate old traditions and create new ones. Whether you're engaged, married, or in a serious relationship, there's always room to carve out some time together and make new memories.

Read all the details about our traditions and see more photos over on Style Me Pretty today. In case you missed the first two posts you can check them out here (engagement photos) and here (how I asked my bridesmaids).

Holiday Glam

Outfit Details: Eliza J Embellished Collar Fit & Flare Dress & Eliza J Bouclé Coat (c/o), Grey Point Toe Pumps (also love this lace up pair)

You might recognize parts of this outfit from Monday's post and that's because I was hiding this super chic fit and flare dress under Eliza J's Pink Bouclé coat. Both pieces are so stunning all on their own so I decided to break this outfit up into two posts. I was immediately drawn to this dress because of the glamorously jeweled collar and shimmery metallic color. I also love how the inverted pleats add extra swing into the skirt for a flirty touch. Let's be honest, this whole outfit is screamin' to be worn to a holiday party.

If you don't already own a glam fit and flare dress for the holidays, I suggest you get on it! Scroll through the below for more hand-picked pieces from Eliza J's latest collection:

Color Block Lace Dress

Outfit Details: Adrianna Papell Color Blocked Guipure Lace Dress c/o (also love this Lace Sheath Dress), LuLu*s T-Strap Pumps, Anthropologie Embellished Belt, Coach Chain Wallet (similar)

From fancy dinners to intimate family gatherings, the holidays call for cocktail attire. In between the frantic shopping for your loved ones and cooking meals for potluck lunches and dinners, there's hardly anytime left to think of an outfit to attend your obligatory holiday get-togethers. I try to pre-plan my outfits and reach for pieces with rich details that allow for quick and easy styling.

Take this Adrianna Papell lace sheath dress for example, I love how the color blocking gives the illusion of a two-piece set. The v-neck front and back provides an extra layer of romance. This dress is already so stunning all on it's own. There's no need to stress over heavy accessories. Simply top it off with your favorite embellished belt and you've got yourself a holiday-ready look!

Pretty In Pink With Eliza J

Outfit Details: Eliza J Bouclé Coat (c/o), Miss Selfridge Statement Clutch, Grey Point Toe Pumps (also adore these lace up suede pumps)

There are few things I love more in this world than the color pink. I don't think it's a secret that I am a total girly girl and will remain this way for the rest of my life, regardless of age. This Eliza J Bouclé coat is so cozy and feminine. It's actually the first pink coat I've ever owned and I don't know why I waited so long to add one to my collection. As I get older I've been trying to refine my wardrobe to consist of more neutrals. Pink totally counts as a neutral and I can't wait to wear the heck out of it this winter and even into the spring. The color makes it multi-seasonal!

The funnel collar is designed to fold over and button to gently frame the face. I've already put this coat to the test in 30 degree weather and it most certainly kept me warm. If pink is not your color, then I totally understand. It's not for everyone! This coat also comes in black and looks just as chic. Shop more festive coats below.
